HUUSD School Board
Who serves, what the Board does, and how it governs our schools.
School boards act as a sort of intermediary between the schools, state government, the community, and the taxpayers. While it is not the job of school boards to run schools, it is the responsibility of boards to see that the district and its schools are run well.

The HUUSD Board sets district policy in open, public meetings. Most policies are based on model language from the Vermont School Boards Association (VSBA) and are adapted to fit our district. New and revised policies generally move through the same steps:
